In darkness
the soul floundered
yearned for divine bliss
Gods relented
Ordained the tryst
with its long-cherished muse
whose splendour rivets Dame Nature
Petals borrow softness
from her lips
The breeze its fragrance
from her breath
Her eyes melt away the darkness
And voice revives the dead
With its muse and mate
the soul sets off on a journey
to rejuvenation
