Memories
Dawns and
dusks
In golden
pink colours
Of our carefree
laughter
Reassuring
backslaps
Plod across
mute greyness
Unwrapped
gifts tangle
With torn
photographs
Victims of
distrust
Memories
slide way
Dry leaves drift
in autumn winds
Through eddies
of emptiness
Shadows
deepen
The mysteries
of darkness
Why did we
meet and separate
Flee our
haven
The velvet
dungeon
Answers don’t
matter any longer
