Dark clouds
growl and rumble,
waves turn tidal;
screaming winds
pierce my soul.
Elements join
to stop my search
for the footprints
on the face of sand,
we once made
hand in hand.
Silent shingles smirk,
seeking eternal imprints
on shifting sands?
